April showers bring May flowers!

April was all things flowers!!! Our LCA flower shop was open for business for the month of April as the children created and sold flower bouquets!! The kids learned about what flowers need to grow and the life cycle of a plant/flower.  Every child planted and grew their own flowers!  A few of our centers for the month of April included sorting seeds by size, placing flowers in numerical order, sorting “flower seeds”(pom-poms) by color, using our fine motor skills to create sets of beads to place on flower stems, spelling flower themed words with magnetic letters, sorting pictures by sounds, and of course our flower sensory bins. We read so many exciting, flower themed books, and also got outside to explore nature and have some outdoor fun!
